Thank you to the entire team of dealers and GM Financial partners for your continued commitment to innovation and creation. With your hard work, we have continued to earn new customers by creating an exceptional customer experience. As we look ahead to the next decade, GM Canada’s future is bright, and I’m confident that we will continue to build on this momentum.

GM Canada is ready to play a significant role in GM’s future. We have invested into St. Catharines Propulsion Plant to build transmissions for Corvette. We are moving full steam ahead preparing Oshawa for the launch of full-sized truck production. With the production of the BrightDrop EV600 at CAMI Assembly in Ingersoll, GM will be the first company to make electric commercial vehicles on a large scale in Canada. The Canadian Technical Centre (CTC) is also growing with the new CTC McLaughlin Advanced Technology Track. In addition, GM Canada posted two consecutive quarters of market share growth.

As we reflect on the 10-year anniversary of our Canadian business, we know that the growth, maturity and success we have experienced wouldn’t be possible without the strong, dynamic relationships that make up our dealer network. I’m grateful for the hard work and dedication that has characterized each of our dealer partnerships throughout our 10-year journey. We are committed to strengthening those bonds as we grow our value for dealers and the enterprise and move our business forward.

It’s impossible for me to look back on these 10 years at GM Financial without feeling incredibly grateful. Thank you for taking this journey with us and for what we’ve accomplished. Together we have built a solid foundation for what’s ahead.

This is an exciting time to be in this business, as we transform to an all-electric future. It will take all of us working together, collaborating in councils and learning new processes, as we understand what’s needed to be successful.

We’ve sure come a long way since 2011. Working together, we have helped hundreds of thousands of customers into leases over that time. And we can be proud to say we have the highest lease retention rates in Canada. Congratulations to the entire dealer body on this achievement!

We all know our customers want to spend less time completing their sales transaction. Moving to digital contracting capabilities, as we did last year, is just one way GM Financial can help you meet customer expectations and provide better experiences.
